Cinderella has left the Building!

We are delighted to invite you to this year’s school musical performance:

“Cinderella has left the building”

This is the classical Cinderella story mixed with the music of Elvis Presley and promises to be a very fun and family friendly performance.

Opening night :  Wednesday 11th April at 5:30pm
Second performance : Thursday 12th April at 6:30pm

Tickets are on sale now at the Secondary Reception.

Come and support our students . . . dress up for the musical in your 1950’s or Cinderella outfit, sing along, and join in the fun!

This is how the story goes . . . “Cinderella has left the Building” is the tried and true story of a gentle and kind girl made to be a servant in her own home by her evil stepmother and stepsisters but continues to believe that her dreams will someday come true.  The twist is all about the music!

The music is by the King of Rock n Roll himself…… Elvis!  The step-sisters bring torment, and give the classic Elvis song “You Ain’t Nothin’ But a Hound Dog” a whole new meaning.  Cinderella sings a lovely rendition of “Love Me Tender” to remind her mice friends to not give up on love.  And of course we can’t go to a royal sock hop in a glass slipper, because “Blue Suede Shoes” are much more hip!  The Prince falls in love and sings “I’m All Shook Up” and the mice love to dance and sing to “Jailhouse Rock”.  The Fairy God Mother is a guest performer at the sock hop and sings the beautiful song “I Can’t Help Falling in Love with You” while the Prince and Cinderella dance the night away.
popcornIceCreamThere are student and teacher choreographed dances, solo performances and even a live guitarist.

Completing the fun family night out there will be popcorn and refreshments on sale – and Desert Chill’s ice-cream van will be here serving up slushies or your favourite ices!

The musical performance has been produced and directed by Mr Brooker and his team; the scenery is being prepared and painted and talented cast are currently in dress rehearsals getting ready to entertain you for a wonderful night out, so lets give our stars a big round of applause ahead of their performances this week . . .
