3rd Annual Business Plan Competition

On 7th February 2018, the Individuals and Societies Department spearheaded the 3rd Annual Business Plan Competition with a theme “Business Innovations in a Diversified Society”.  This was part of the assessment of Grade 10 students for their Unit 2 – Business Studies and underpins the statement of inquiry, which is the ability to understand that the interconnections within a system are necessary in a successful business undertaking and can be the best form of entrepreneurial expression.

Held in the school auditorium and presented in the format of  ‘Dragon’s Den’, the competition provided a strong platform for the graduating students of MYP to apply all business related terms and concepts to create new businesses, produce business plans, experience a real-life situation, and demonstrate their potential and skills in entrepreneurship and business management which can be considered as their future undertakings.

Out of a total of 9 entries, 3 winning entries were chosen:

Tied for 1st Place“Bag Your Points” by Leonnie Volkmann, Grade 10A and            “Tycho” by Mustafa Khan, Grade 10C

2nd Place“Food Finder” by Pedro Carmona and Gustav Kinch, Grade 10A

3rd Place“EasyView” by Shreyas Pingle and Luca Pozzato, Grade 10B

This event highlighted our students’ innovative ideas, creativity and critical thinking skills. Congratulations to all Grade 10 students!
