Congratulations to Mr. Mark Bishop, PE Teacher & Guidance Counsellor, and Mr. Chuck Brooker, Music & Grade 9 Teacher, our Greenfield Community School educators. They have recently received IB Certification as Official Workshop Leaders and Site Visit Coordinators for the International Baccalaureate program. They went through a very competitive process from over 300 highly qualified applicants down to 30, to be selected for this honor. After being selected, they spent more than five weeks of online training and three days of on Site training in Amman, Jordan. All of their training took place over the summer holiday period showcasing their commitment to our students even while on break.

As Workshop leaders, they facilitate professional development for Subject teachers and Heads of Schools in educational programs around the world who are implementing the IB programmes. Workshop Leaders contribute to the global Quality Assurance Framework of Professional Development provision.

As School Visit team Members, they participate in IB programme verification and evaluation visits to schools worldwide as representatives of the IB. They are responsible for conducting the visit to evaluate alignment with IB philosophy as well as the standards and practices, contributing to a final report and recommendation for the regional office.

Greenfield Community School has strong leadership of IB Leaders including previously certified educators, Mr. Thomas Mbulika, Ms. Shaimaa Karara, and Mr. Amad Raja who are also Workshop Leaders. Greenfield’s IB Leaders are here to not only deepen the knowledge and understanding for teachers and leaders at our school and but also throughout the Taaleem family of schools country wide. Way to make us Proud!
