Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the Crown Prince’s Court launched Moral Education as a school curriculum subject in July 2016, to promote tolerance and instil universal principles and values shared by humanity; in line with the UAE’s broadened vision of building a sustainable society, grounded in the happiness, wellness and social well-being of its people.
The Ministry of Education provided training in Moral Education for teachers in schools all across the UAE. The training course was held in Meydan last week.
Sarah Atienza and Zaina Jabri represented Greenfield Community School at the workshop. Also our very own Farin Padamsey, Learning Support Coordinator, was trained last summer to be a trainer for the Moral Education curriculum. The workshop attendees learned a lot about how to implement this new curriculum, how to educate students and parents about it, and how to be the ambassador of Moral Education for their respective schools.
