Let’s take a quick look at what our Grade 11 student’s have been working on in our International Baccalaureate Career Program (IBCP).
IBCP Service Learning – Dubai Marathon
Our International Baccalaureate Career Program students worked recently at the Dubai Marathon, running a drinks station at 40k on Jumierah Beach Road. This activity linked their Service Learning project with a BTEC Business unit of ‘Managing an Event’ and all students had a great day, even though they had to start the day at 6 AM. Working in our local community and supporting these events is a wonderful opportunity for our CP students to gain valuable skills in planning, organisation and working in a team. Well done to all involved.
IBCP Work Placement
IBCP students embarked on their work placement recently in companies and organisations spread throughout Dubai & Abu Dhabi.
The work placement is an important part of the Career-related Programme studies by Grade 11 & 12 students and it aims to give them valuable experience of a professional environment linked to their intended career path. Thanks to all the companies which supported our students as without them, this valuable learning experience could not take place.
