As a school we invite feedback from external quality assurance bodies to affirm what we are doing well and to identify areas for improvement. Our school leadership team is committed to raising standards and these processes provide us with independent, impartial feedback. This term we will be hosting two quality assurance visits or inspections. Both will examine the school from top to toe: teaching and learning, health and safety, SEN provision, leadership, governance, community service and student responsibility. Through lesson observations and interviews with staff, students, parents and governors, they will compile a detailed picture of the school.
The Dubai Schools Inspection Bureau (DSIB) inspects us annually. A team of inspectors, all with experience of the UK Ofsted process, will ensure that our standards are bench-marked against the DSIB Framework. They will be here on the week of the 6th February.
The Council for International Schools together with the New England Association of Schools and Colleges and the International Baccalaureate Organization will visit us to assess our application for full membership and to undertake our five yearly review. The three organisations work together, so this is called a Synchronised Visit. Whilst our regular DSIB and International Baccalaureate reviews are mandatory, these visitors are here by invitation. They will visit us on the week of the 12th February.
What can you do to help? Please give us your feedback through two surveys, both of which are done annually. The first is the Taaleem survey and the second the KHDA one. This is your chance to affirm what the school is doing well and to give us feedback about things that we can improve upon.
