Celebrating 2016’s KenKen Success in our MYP Assembly
It is with pleasure that we congratulated 12 of our students on their success at the most recent KenKen International Championship today in our Secondary Assembly. Our students represented Greenfield Community School at the Dubai and UAE National Level, competing against the best in the country.
The most outstanding result came from Risako Yasuda, one of our Diploma Program Higher Level Mathematics students who placed 2nd in Dubai and 3rd in the UAE for her age group.

Looking Forward to the 2017 Championship
UAE’s biggest math puzzle championship opens its doors to GCS, again!
The KENKEN International Championship, is an annual international competition, being conducted in the UAE. It was launched for the first time in 2016, and has been very successful in peeking the interest of students towards competitive puzzling.
Throughout the Championship, students can expect to win, certificates, medals and trophies at every stage of the competition, along with cash prizes and goodies!
Seven students will also be selected for an all-expense paid trip, to represent UAE in New York, USA at the International Level.
Our school will be hosting the School Level Rounds for Kenken International Championships 2017, in the month of March. We request all parents to take up this opportunity and register their children for the championship.

Registration packs will be sent home via your child’s Math class. The last date of registration for GCS is the 26th of January.
